Location Points
Location Points (LP) are a passive resource collected by killing enemies and using LP items. LP allows you to access new areas on a planet once it is unlocked (note that the first location on a planet does not have any LP requirement, however other areas do have LP requirements). It is a passive resource, meaning that you do not need to spend LP, you simply need to collect the required amount and the area will unlock (currently reaching 50 million LP will unlock all areas in the game).
To farm LP, the best methods are to farm kills on Phobos (if you don't have a full slayer set) or Mercury (if you do have a full slayer set). Alternatively if you have the Golden Bow you can farm LP at The Black War or at the Underworld/New Agora (depending on how many cores you have and how many infusions you have on your set).
